Seven miles long, one main road, and more turquoise water than you can swim in a week. Our guide to things to do in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos, from the beach in front of the villa to the Wall, the whales and the town.

Grand Turk's beaches are white sand and water so clear you can count the starfish. Pillory Beach is at your door. Swim, sunbathe, snorkel straight off the sand, and have it mostly to yourself.

The Grand Turk Wall drops from 40 feet to over 7,000 within a short boat ride of the beach. It is some of the best diving in the Caribbean. Snorkelers get coral, tropical fish, turtles and rays without leaving the shallows.

The capital of the Turks and Caicos is a short walk or golf cart ride away. Colonial era houses, old salt salinas and the Turks and Caicos National Museum, with the story of the islands and the Columbus landing claim.

Local seafood, conch every way it can be cooked, and tropical fruit. The bars and restaurants of Cockburn Town are less than half a mile from the villa, and the grocery store is a short drive for cooking nights at home.

The flamingo pond is right next door. Beyond that: horseback riding on the beach, fishing charters, jet skis, and boat trips to the uninhabited cays. In season, whale watching tours leave from the island.

Pillory Beach faces west. Pour a drink, take it to the veranda or the sand, and watch the sun go into the sea. It is the part of the day guests write to us about most.

It is how the island gets around. We can have one waiting for you at the airport. Ask us before you arrive.
The reef in front of the house is good enough that many guests never book a boat. Gear is in the villa.
From January to April humpbacks pass the island. We know the operators and the fair prices.
The grocery store is a short drive. Charcoal for the barbecue is at the stores near town.
Bars and restaurants are under half a mile away along the beach road.
At least one night, do nothing but the sunset from the veranda.
From our guests
"Lovely place, nice location with access straight on to the beach. Easy to walk to town and around the salinas. Great to have snorkel and fins available. Really recommend for a stay in Grand Turk."
